How is a Dental Filling Applied?

  1. Dental examination and x-rays are taken if necessary.
  2. Decayed or damaged tissue is removed
  3. Filling material is selected
  4. The gap is filled with appropriate technique
  5. Height and closing are adjustable
  6. Finally, polishing and buffing process is done.

The procedure takes approximately 30–60 minutes. Local anesthesia may be applied if necessary.

Things to Consider After Filling

Avoid hard, sticky or staining foods for the first 24–48 hours.
If the filling height is felt, a physician's examination may be necessary.
Teeth should be brushed regularly and dental floss should be used.
A dental check-up every six months is recommended.
