What is Empress Veneer?

Empress veneers are a type of porcelain veneer used in cosmetic dentistry, entirely ceramic-based and metal-free. They are particularly notable for their natural appearance and light-permeable structure, especially in the front teeth. They offer aesthetic results that closely resemble the natural structure of the tooth.

How to Apply?

The empress coating process is planned digitally with CAD/CAM technology.

  1. Teeth are prepared and impressions are taken
  2. The measurement taken is modeled in a digital environment.
  3. Empress blocks are carved in accordance with aesthetics and function.
  4. The prepared veneers are bonded to the teeth in the second session.
  5. The treatment is completed by performing the necessary compliance checks.

This procedure, which is completed in two sessions, is a minimally invasive method and interferes with the dental tissue as little as possible.

What are the advantages?

Offers a natural appearance: Thanks to its light transmittance, it is almost identical to the natural tooth.
Metal-free: No dark color transition occurs on the gums.
High color stability: Does not yellow or change color over time
High compatibility: Exactly compatible coatings are prepared with digital production
Comfortable: Provides a smooth and compatible surface in the mouth.
It is long-lasting: With proper maintenance and regular checks, it can be used for many years without any problems.

In Which Situations Is It Preferred?

If there is a need for an aesthetic appearance in the front teeth
If the natural form of the tooth is damaged
In cases where composite filling is insufficient
If part of the tooth is broken or worn down
If the tooth needs to be strengthened after root canal treatment

How Long Is The Treatment Duration?

The empress veneer application is typically completed in two sessions. In the first session, the tooth is prepared, impressions are taken, and the temporary veneer is applied. In the second session, the permanent veneer, prepared in a laboratory, is applied. The entire process takes approximately one week.

Durability and Maintenance

Empress veneers, thanks to their strong ceramic material, are resistant to the forces of daily chewing. Regular oral hygiene and six-month dental checkups can extend the life of the veneers. It's recommended to avoid biting extremely hard foods.
